I have been playing around with this whole ‘chest voice’ thing, and holy balls it works. I actually sound strong in my lower register.
You have no idea how excited this makes me!

I had my first Masterclass of the semester today and have finally discovered where most of my technical singing issues have come from.
Apparently I don’t use my chest voice. I had never really understood the difference and just assumed that I didn’t have one in the past. Now I know that I have one, I understand what it feels like and I can start to work on developing it and then get good marks and hopefully actually enjoy the sound of my voice! Wooooo!
Just about to spend about $100 on books. Three teaching resources that will be amaaaaaahzing, and pretty much every John Green book ever written.
Good idea?
He sings like he has recently had a stroke. Saggy left side of face included.
And his name is Laykn. Laykn. Yeah. Not a fan.
I’ll ask Bill about it and get back to you! Apparently it was like $20 cause no one wanted it. Hahaha.
Long showers in scalding hot water are actually the best.
Kay bye.
These are my new fishy friends, there is only three of them, the photo is a bit of a decepticon.
They’re settling nicely into their new home, making it nice and fishy gross for friends who will be moving in next week! Yay!
(Yes, they have moustaches.)
You could be some strange illegitimate child that I had once under the influence of some rape drugs and now have no recollection of.
But that seems unlikely.
Sorry, I don’t think I’m your mother. Keep looking though!
Melbourne is good for buying things. Woooo, new stuff!
Day one of Melbourne has so far included chips from Lord of the Fries, with the most delicious sauce I’ve ever tasted. Trips into the nerdiest shop in the world where one can purchase every possible piece of Doctor Who merchandise and every comic book ever made. Then to a stroll through the National Gallery and delicious coffee in what could easily be mistaken for Diagon Alley (note cauldrons in the picture). Tickets booked to see Aloe Blacc, DJ’s, Lasers and the Australian Youth Orchestra at the Recital Hall and currently chilling in the cutest hotel room ever. Off to Fitzroy to drink beers and eat delicious foods before stumbling back in the early hours of the morning.
Melbourne, you’re alright.
A capella medleys - always fun.
